the Commons

Corner of Park Ave. and Main Street
Middleport, NY
Information:

The Commons is an area owned by the Village on Park Avenue, between Vernon and Main Streets.  This area is also the location of the Veterans' Monument and the Walkway on the Commons where commemorative bricks have been placed in honor of or in memory of loved ones and businesses.

The Memorial Day Parade and the Labor Day Festivities Kiddies' Parade end at the Commons.  Memorial Day Services are held here by both the Clute-Philips Legion Post and the Middleport Volunteer Fire Co., Unit No. 1, Inc.   During the Village's Labor Day Fesitivities, the Commons is bustling with vendors and not-for-profit organizations offering goods for sale.  Traditionally, an outdoor concert is held at that time, too.

In the summer, the Middleport Free Library sometimes holds outdoor actitivies here, as well.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed for consumption at the Commons.
